OGDEN, Utah The Weber State men's and women's track and field teams will have athletes at two different meets this weekend. Four athletes will head to the Stanford Invitational in Palo Alt, California. "Quote." lt;br /> lt;br /> lt;br />ATHLETES TO WATCH lt;br />Mike Hardy and Trevor Ricks lt;br />These two seniors will once again don the Wildcat uniform in the steeplechase at the Stanford Invitational. Both runners redshirted the outdoor track season a year ago and will look to cement their names in Wildcat history. They enter the season with personal-bests of 8:46.07 and 8:47.10 respectively. They both have won an individual Big Sky Championship in the steeple and will look to add a second in May. lt;br /> lt;br />Jamie Stokes lt;br />Stokes opened up her indoor season with a personal-best 2:10.94 in the 800-meters at the UNLV Spring Invite. She will look for another personal-best against some of the best runners in the nation at Stanford. She will enter the weekend having run the seventh-best time in school history in the 1,500 meters with her time of 4:24.93. Could she become just the second Wildcat to ever run 4:20? lt;br /> lt;br />Emily Morgan lt;br />The freshmen from Vancouver, Washington has been a revelation for the women's team. Morgan's indoor season was highlighted with a new freshmen record in the 55-meters and fifth-fastest 60-meter ever ran in school history. She hasn't missed a beat in the outdoor season. Last weekend at the UVU Collegiate Invite, she became the first athlete to run under 12 seconds in the 100-meters since 2012. Also, she missed the freshmen record by a mere 0.02 seconds.
