Wildcats head to Idaho and California

OGDEN, Utah With two meets left until the Big Sky Championships, the Weber State men's and women's track and field program will travel to Idaho and California this weekend. lt;br />The Wildcats enter the meet with 34 automatic qualifying marks. The men's side has 22 while the women have 12. lt;br />"The people that are going to Payton Jordan have another chance to compete against national level competition," Director of track and field Dan Walker said. "In Boise, we are going to continue to move up the Big Sky list and get more qualifying marks. We won't have any distance runners competing in Idaho as they prepare for the twilight meet next week." lt;br /> lt;br />Payton Jordan Invitational lt;br />Mike Hardy, Trevor Ricks, Jamie Stokes and Ellie Child will head to Northern California to compete against some of the best runners in the nation. lt;br />Hardy enters the 3,000-meter steeplechase with the ninth-fastest time in the nation while Ricks has the 28th fastest time. lt;br />Stokes will compete in the 1,500 meters looking to improve on her seasonal-best time of 4:26.68. Child will also run in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and comes in with the 21st best time in the West region. lt;br /> lt;br />Idaho-Utah Borderclash lt;br />On the women's side, Emily Morgan enters the weekend with the fourth-fastest 100-meter dash time in the Big Sky conference. She also has the 12th fastest time in the 200-meters. Coming off her victory in the 400-meters last weekend, Katherine Wishmeyer has the sixth-fastest time in that event. lt;br />Jamzin Porter has top ten marks in three different marks, discus, shot put and hammer throw. She is second in the shot put with a mark of 47-07.00. lt;br />On the men's side, Tony Osheku Jr. has the fourth-fastest time in both the 100-and-200-meter dash. Ryan Carlson will look to pick up a qualifying mark in the 110-meter hurdles as he sits fifth in with a time of 14.97. Isaac Akers and Dustin Durfee own the third and fourth-fastes
